Wayne Thompson
Executive Director
Wayne Thompson is the founder and executive director of Strategic Opportunities Achieving Results (S.O.A.R!).
Mr. Thompson is a thought leader, innovation trailblazer, mentor, and problem-solving entrepreneur. He currently manages companies such as:
Albion Ventures - a technology system integration company
AV Staffing Solutions - a staffing and recruiting agency
7P - a platform for entrepreneurs to share, learn, and grow their business
Wayne has spent 3 decades gaining technical, engineering, product development, operations, and service delivery experience at various telecommunications companies.
Mr. Thompson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, he was honored as one of the 40 emerging leaders under the age of 40 in Cable and Telecommunications and as one of Cablefax’s most influential minorities in Cable. He was also recognized with the Young Gifted and Black 2017 Community Empowerment Award for his work with S.O.A.R!
Mikila Thompson
Director
Mikila Thompson is an attorney for Children with The Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Practice, representing children in Abuse/Neglect and Custody cases in Family Court. She is a volunteer and Director with S.O.A.R!.
Ms. Thompson is also a volunteer crisis counselor with Safe Center Long Island where she helps victims of domestic violence and sexual assault manage the reporting process at the hospital.
Ms. Thompson is proud to say she is the product of a single mother who raised her to work hard, get a strong education, and to give back to her community.
Mikila earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Barnard College, and her Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Family Law, from Maurice A. Deane School of Law At Hofstra University.
